Coming Soon! Building a Model Railroad: Virtual Camp

Join us for our virtual camp, designed especially for children in Kindergarten through 4th grade. Campers will build their very own model railroad from start to finish. Whether your child is a budding model railroad enthusiast or completely new to the hobby, this course is welcoming to all skill levels.

Our educators—trained by our lifelong model railroad operators—guide students step-by-step, sharing the techniques and insights they’ve learned from the experts.

All videos are pre-recorded, allowing campers to learn at their own pace.

Across three instructional videos, young builders will learn foundational skills in this classic hobby as they construct a model railroad layout from scratch.

Students will work with plaster, paint, synthetic turf, HO-scale track, and more. By the end of camp, each participant will have a completed mini layout—and the confidence and skills to continue creating their own models at home!
