Balboa Park Parking
Planning a visit to Balboa Park? Parking updates began March 2:
City of San Diego residents can register for free Tier 2 & 3 parking and discounted Tier 1 parking.
The Bea Evenson Lot (near San Diego Natural History Museum) and Palisades Lot (at Comic-Con Museum) are now Tier 2.
Disabled placards/plates park free in regular spaces.
Paid parking ends at 6pm.
The public tram runs 8am–8pm.
Parking is also free on City holidays, including March 31 (Cesar Chavez Day) a great time to visit the San Diego Model Railroad Museum.

As conversations around paid parking continue, the Balboa Park Cultural Partnership has launched SaveBalboaPark.org, where you can share how parking policies affect your access to the park and its cultural institutions. Balboa Park is a shared civic treasure, and community voices matter.
