Ales n’ Rails 2025

Ales N’ Rails is SDMRM’s annual beer tasting fundraiser celebrating local breweries and community partners with an evening of craft brews, live music, and fun in the heart of Balboa Park. This year’s event is coming Saturday, December 13th, and it’s set to be a true community celebration! Trains will be running all day during regular museum hours (11 AM–4 PM) and again after hours during the event from (6 PM–9:30 PM), creating a one-of-a-kind experience surrounded by San Diego’s railroading history.

This year the museum raised over $5,500 to support the preservation of permanent exhibits and our resident model railroad clubs who operate, design, and maintain them all for your enjoyment - Thank You!!
