The mission of the San Diego Model Railroad Museum is to preserve the heritage of railroading through a series of miniature representations of California railroads; research and preserve the history of model railroading; and educate the public in the many different aspects of railroading. [more...]
HOURS:
- Open on the following holidays:
- New Year's Day 11am-4pm
- Martin Luther King, Jr. Day 11am-4pm
- President's Day 11am-4pm
- Memorial Day 11am-4pm
- Independence Day 11am-4pm
- Labor Day 11am-4pm
- Tuesday through Friday 11:00 - 4:00
- Saturday - Sunday 11:00 - 5:00
Tuesdays and Friday evenings are work nights for the various clubs. Visitors may enter at no charge, but construction work on the exhibits is all that may usually be seen on those nights. Please enter the museum on work nights through the back door. Contact one of the Model Railroad Clubs for additional information about work night schedules.
ADMISSION:
- Adults - $6.00
- Seniors (65+) - $5.00
- Students (with ID) - $3.00
- Active Military (with ID) - $2.50
- Children under 15 - FREE when accompanied by an adult
- First Tuesday of the month is FREE for San Diego County Residents. Out of County residents pay regular admission prices
